Best
Not to stir a hornets`
Nest
Felt the barb
In the first quest
-ion
Which had zero
Intention
Of going on a quest
Next
Time be sure to make a present-tensed
Wish
In the Elven
Mists
Of Imagination

- Comment from author about the poem: Dropped someone a poetic invitation for their curiosity to go to work on another forum (not poetry) and it was escalated at light speed into "unsolicited advice" as part of a lecture/rant/! Oh well, it`s all training in the "elven art of assumptions," Mutley!

A fine poem with clever word play regarding misinterpretations by others where good intent is labeled unwarranted. Well written
Thanks, Soren. Those misunderstandings are inevitable, aren't they? Even more so now in this internet age.
You are most welcome
Mutley, you got me with this one. It has that wonderfully playful logic where every turn feels unexpected, yet somehow perfectly at home in its own world. I had a grin the whole way through. Great fun, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
It was a lot more fun to write than the interaction with the person in question! I thought to myself, how am I going to extract some learning from that, then wrote the rhyme.
I was born with elf ears, does that count at all?
Then I guess you don't need any training!
Had pink elf booties from Keebler when in my early infancy. Guess I'm set!
💯
