An ode to a dear from me.
If you and I were to fall in love,
I’d love to hold you by the hand.
And if we loved each other through all the bad stuff,
I’m sure we’d make it through because you understand.
And if the thieves came in and stole your heart,
I’d swim to the bottom of the ocean,
To get you a new part.
And if you depart on a voyage of discovery,
I’ll come along too. Wouldn’t that be just lovely?
And if you needed time to yourself,
I’d ask, where will I go? You know I don’t love myself.
And if you every say sorry, I wouldn’t accept your apology,
For you can do no wrong, according to me.
And if you decide to play the accordion badly,
I wouldn’t tell you how bad it was.
I’d simply sit, palms high under my chin, watching you intently.
And if you intended to upset me for no good reason,
I’d find you a reason why I should be hated.
And if you did hate me, then I’d forgive you right away,
Because you have the right to say it doesn’t matter anyway.
And if you want to pretend when we are in bad company,
I’d sell all my socks and my teddy bears to find you some money.
And if Birdseye were here, I’m sure he’d buy some Fish and Chips,
So I bought you a fish, donor kebab and some chips.
And if you’re not hungry, then I’ll eat them for you,
Because I haven’t eaten since I met you.
I’ve barely had a drink, because it’s not important.
Those cells, those desires. They are dormant.
I ingest oxygen now, because we’re oxygen rich,
And I’m on the rich list : Editor in Chief.
And if you call me up, I’ll put on my Kansas Shoes.
We’ll go tripping through the universe and we will never lose,
Because I’m the Hero and you’re the Damsel in Distress.
So if you’re feeling nervous, I will try my very best,
To cure your hiccups,
By wearing a Scream mask,
And chasing you through Movie scripts,
And sounds like laughter canned,
Because the jokes on me, if it will amuse you.
I am your jester, and you are bullet proof.
And if they hunt you down, I will bodyguard your body,
Because I was a nobody,
Until I held you next to me.
And next to me is where I still want you.
I never stopped wanting you since the first time I saw you.
So cut me in two if you want us to uncouple.
If that is your desire, then I’ll be in a whole heap of trouble,
Because I bought you this ring,
And raised a deposit for a house.
I’ve already chosen a thousand possible names,
For our future pet - A Mouse.
And when you say let’s name it Mickey or Minnie,
I’ll get up and I will leave...
I thought you and I were meant to be.
If you were having idea’s about our future family,
I’m afraid it’s too late.
I’ve gone off the idea.
Oh
Dear
Me.
