neo-priesthood

arqios

neo-priesthood

In the new order,

authority gathers around those

who interpret the silent engines.

They stand apart,

reading signals from depths

no human eye can reach,

translating the drift of algorithms

into guidance for the rest of us.

Their power is not loud.

It settles slowly,

like dust on a long table,

until one day

everyone realises

only faint warmth of servers

breathing in the dark.

This is brilliant arqios, no one notices the small changes over a long period until it's too late. Indeed, the faint warmth of the severs will be the only thing keeping us warm in the near future.

I do use and embrace new technology and I'm aware of the dangers it brings. Great awareness write.

Thanks Syd. We do need to be aware of what surrounds us ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Chilling it carries a lonely feel, one of isolation insulated from the electronic and human an alienation in a cold dark universe. Well written my friend

My friend, this is chillingly perceptive. Nothing is violently seized, yet human agency gradually passes to a technological elite claiming exclusive access to systems the wider public cannot examineโ€ฆdisturbingly close to where we are heading. Brilliant work, arqios. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

          Enough said.
          A good Write as usual.
