"wonderful"
every time you lift your hands
sure as a dove taking flight
I see the way the shyness wanes —
moves of something finding wings
looking back to meet my fluttering
was it the sun in my eye
or the breeze that lifted high?
something quite so wonderful
something in you that won't explain
a sudden, soaring breath —
something quite so wonderful
along the riverbend
through seasons changing
rippled waters swirl
nowhere left to hide
between the earth and sky
words and touch lay bare:
where we dare tread
horizon's tightrope —
something oh so wonderful
so, I'll float back
from what we want or fear
something oh so wonderful
You're so wonderful
.
