Tune: Harewood
('Christ is our corner stone')
Psalm 118 v.19-23
*********
The gates to me open
And then I will go in
The gate of righteousness
Of the Temple, no less
'Tis the gate of the Lord, I will
Go through it, and will praise Him still
The righteous shall enter
This gate, and not defer
I will praise the Lord, He
Has heard my prayers, so be
And has become my salvation
Through Jesus Christ His only Son
The stone which the builders
Refuse, it now concurs
That this same stone it be
The chief corner stone, see
This is the Lord's doing, it is
Marvellous in our eyes, such bliss
For rejected by men
Taken up by God then
Corner stone, foundation
Of faith for every one
Holding all together, built strong
Shall last for eternity long

What a faith-filled hymn, Orchi! The rejected one becomes the strength holding everything together, and salvation opens what exclusion tried to close. Even Popeyeus Glug Maximus Solus could not build a foundation that strong with reinforced spinach! Beautifully done, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Here is another of your wonderful hymns. You may ask why a nonreligious guy like me enjoys hymns, it is because they are poetry and music both of which I worship. Good one Orchi
