NOTE: This does not flow as nicely as a sonnet, but may be said to have a jaunty rhythm, perhaps.
This month's prompt was "love" and all the valetine's day stuff:
Please write of love, for tis divine
Besides, there's Valentine's Day
....and it is coming up.
So tell me how you say that word--
In coffee or hot kisses
....cuz I now 'gin to thirst.
I've done the erm, French kisses thing
and that I do love best.
....but that's for whom I love.
There's choc'late in the darkest strain
'Til you think it is chalk--
....it's good, but jist dark's grand.
Ole joe, well he's a tricky brew,
I love 'im best when's mean,
....I'll take cream with that too.
Or how about that thing called fog?
Oh! how mists daint'ly woo!
....take me off yonder hence!
What?! people? I've no words for them,
For whom I cherish ARE.
....to know and love suffice.
If I've run out of things to note,
Forgive me cuz I love too much,
....what's here will have to do.
As for that day which each year comes
To mock my hopes and dreams?
....I'll feign that it's not here.
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
Love, me.

- Comment from author about the poem: This site is where I stow or post various forms. I know this particular piece is dreadfully untimely, but mayhap you'll still be able to enjoy it. ["This month's prompt" refers to the local poetry club I used to attend.]

This one was lovely Cheeky with a wonderful meaning to it as well. I agree with you the flow was very good and it was most understandable.
