A DOZEN RED

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

A dozen red roses
A card which read
Only for the good times
Forget the bad
The newspaper obituary
Words to touch
A place in my heart
That hid so much.

Like a hidden chapter
In lifes book
Tucked away
Without a look
The words that spilled
From secret places
Remembered perfume
Lingering traces.

The dark earth now
Will be your bed
A moistened pillow
Words left unsaid
Love and anger
In passion clothed
A forgotten story
God bless your soul.
