"NO" IS A STEP-BY-STEP DRAWING OF SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS

Durdica Porobija

I don't say "no" to those weaker than me
I don't say them with childish pleading looks
Who need play and love more than food
Nor to the sick who expect presence and beneficial touch
Nor to a cat or a rabbit who want communication
But I must know how to say NO to those for whom my time is
cheap goods of bfl-quality
I must know how to say NO to those who leave me in the middle of a conversation
as soon as another more interesting person appears (and they are all more interesting)
I must know how to say NO to bloodsuckers who suck blood from people
like a venipuncture needle in a laboratory or a tiger mosquito
I must know how to say NO to those who always speak with a negative connotation
I must know how to say NO to those who expect flattery for the sake of pumping their
vanity in the tubes of their mental imbalances
I must know how to say NO and NO and NO to everyone who is evil on the tip of their tongue and in the depths of their heart
I must know how to say NO to friends if I am convinced that they are wrong
even at the cost of losing them and remaining alone in the world
in the pack of hungry wolves

Saying no one of the most difficult things to do but one of the most important. Well written

        That's the stuff - it'll become a reflex eventually...

Thanks. Your critique is promising eventually. 🙂
