The Green Man
I saw the Green Man standing
in the fallen snow, still landing
amid the naked trees and saplings
and the young couple courting,
and as I stood there watching,
he raised his hands in blessing
and the young man now kneeling,
betrothed the young woman, smiling,
and the snow turned to melting
as the sunlight brought the warming
and the Green Man went springing
all through the woods a-dancing.

A lovely myth told so nicely with a most enthralling ending to each phrase an ing adjective to each. Well done and a fave
Nice. Brought me to visions of Green Peace and Marvin the Martian. But thatโs just me ๐๐ป๐๏ธ
How very lovely! What a charming illustration of that season known for ages as the time for love and courtship. How beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a delicacy which befits the same, its poignancy like a butterfly, waltzing. Thank you very much for sharing.
Spring arrived when the Green Man cast his spell, and fertility was assured.
I enjoyed the simplicity of the tale.
