The light
From your window
Still reaches
To my soul
Teenage years
And heartache
In pouring rain
Without a home.
The vastness of
The darkened sky
Each star smudged
Asking why
The rainbow died
Within a smile
The angled light
From window high.
The creases
In curtains lace
Penetrate deep
To form your face
And hope it turns
Its back away
As hours die
Leading to day.

It's a half -tone watercolor that touches the soul...
thanks for read my friend, much appreciated
Somber and sad this poem feels hopeless and a bit dark. Nicely written to convey a gloomy mood.
much appreciated friend, thanking you
You are most welcome Norman

Will we ever get ON a bus? lol.
not in this lifetime, maybe they run a ghost special lol
Norman, this really moved me. There’s such a quiet ache running through it…the kind that never needs to raise its voice to be felt. Beautifully written, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
