Synesthaesia in love

Lorenz

Pretty lady who barges into the comfort

of my private space-time without permission...

I am defenseless in front  of the tipsiness

your  appareance brings about ...

I've given up on  unraveling the mystery

of  your wanderings...

Are you nothing more than this elegant transition

between the little death and nothingness ?

Fleeting whiff of a rebellious  scent,

scattered among the yellowed pages of an almanac ?

Pretty lady who are enjoying the gentle soothing warmth

of my cozy interior ...

Perhaps, futile illusion drawing a concentric shape

to the sharp angles of  loneliness ?

We always believe that the prelude will last

beyond the melody's finale  note...

One evening as the show of life was coming to a close,

I found you there ,leafing through the imagination

of my  loves...

I hadn't left you the key ,but you have that power

to pass through the walls of the forbidden dimensions...

I know ,full well ,that you belonged neither to me

nor anyone else .

We have to learn  to love ghosts just like cats .

We mustn't disrupt their unfaithful dreams ...

Are you ,my pretty lady nothing but this strange confusion

in  inspired  synesthaesia ?

You were leafing through between the lines

of  my imagination  - to which you alone hold the key...

A beautiful blend of sensual, spatial, and musical imagery.

I think you should make a duplicate of the key. Nice one Lorenz

Unless you go for contraltos better than the base clef

Oh, but this is very nearly intoxicating. Deliciously rendered with an exquisite sense of closeness [but how?!], excellent imagery and a lively poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Memory maintains a constant dialogue with sensations...

Beautiful, Lorenz...thereโ€™s something wonderfully spectral about this woman drifting through memory, longing, and imagination without ever being possessed by any of them. And that feline comparison is delightfully strange and somehow perfectly at home here. Loved this, my friend! ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›
