The Best Of What We Have Sonnet.

Goldfinch60

The happiest people don’t have perfect lives;
They find the good in what is close at hand.
They notice where a quiet kindness thrives,
And build their peace on what they understand.

They don’t keep waiting for a better day,
Or count the things they wish had gone their way;
They take the small bright moments as they stay,
And let enough be more than just okay.

For joy is not a prize we finally win,
Or something waiting far beyond today;
It starts when we make room for light within,
And choose to see the grace along the way.

So happiness is learning how to live
With open hands, and love for what we’re given.
