FIRST LIGHT

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

First light it bathes
Your opening eyes
Dawns tender kiss
Night says goodbye
Rippled light
About your face
The new day smiles
The hour embraced.

Your warm skin
Next to mine
Your perfume
Still sublime
Your tousled hair
Removed from face
Head lifted from
The pillowcase.

That certain smile
The one we know
Closer still
Its love to show
Body and soul
Become as one
Passion renewed
Under morning sun.

A lovely wake up where the sun raises on two separate occasions in the morning. Very nice Norman

Norman, this is absolutely beautiful. There’s such warmth and intimacy here...that quiet morning closeness with someone you love before the rest of the world comes calling. Wonderful poem, my friend! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️
