Back in the oceanic psych ward
“Would you mind please not cussing?”
I bonded with the Scottish guy:
Braden was always cussing
I asked him a deep question
As to people I always did
“What does it really mean to love?”
And this is what he said
“You’re always there when they need you
You don’t want the last word
If they won’t relent you say “I love you”
Before you walk out the door.”
After he said that to me a tear went down his eye
And later Donovan bullied him
He yelled in anger before he cried
“You came here because of your stupid ass parents…”
“You don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about!”
Jesse asked me “What happened Jonathan?”
I hated the way he ravaged him with the words out of his mouth
Micah was his best friend and yet he had a small bit
Of conscious
“Apologize to him, bro.”
He refused for no remorse was on him
Later we played chess I beat Braden
We shook hands; he said “Good game!”
After I left and came back home it was not the same
I wished that I was right back there talking with my friend
Before I left we shook hands “Farewell, best wishes, my good friend.” ⚘
