The telling of my death.
She said it’s just a nightmare,
And I should just forget.
I knew it was a prophecy.
The telling of my death.
When the day comes to pass,
I will have the last laugh,
Because I knew I was right...
...See I had the last laugh.
She just sits there weeping,
Because she is not seeing,
That I was never destined,
To be anything more than this.
This is all I am.
I rose up from the sands.
I became a little man,
Who is waving at the waves.
I’m wishing them away,
To a calmer time,
When things were not carved in stone,
And words were not written in rhyme.
A time when things were just said,
As my truth, my God’s honest.
I promise you this,
In time you will not miss.
Your life will move on past sadness,
To remember the best of us.
This little ball of madness,
That drove us into the darkness of too much love.
The darkness was so binding.
My life was merely about timing.
Merely the muses to my writing.
Until the end you will see me enlightening.
And when the smoke clears,
I will breathe in the light.
For true insight,
Is only ever proven in the afterlife.
After mine, the world will keep turning,
And I will be sat in Heaven,
With love still burning.
I will forever be yearning...
