Watching the world slowly decay
Mother earth she aching in pain
I never appreciated her enough.
She’s been my mother
Ever since I could remember
Her soul cannot be replaced
Filled with such peace
For the rare place that
Holds the first shades of color
She showers you with rain
Warm or cold. Just ask her
She’ll give you praise.
Where long grass
offers you a warm embrace
A pillow made from tree moss
You let me escape from
Such a hateful place
Poor mother, I’m sorry
On the behalf of the human race
Let my tears fill up
Your empty creeks

An ode to mother nature and her beauty. Nicely done
I felt this deeply as nature has always been my escape but mother earth was here long before us and will be long after! We are But a speck here for observation for than interaction, in my opinion. ... thank you for such a beautiful write to free my mind even just for a little while.
A deeply moving poem, filled with love, sorrow, and remorse for the way we have treated the earth. The image of tears filling her empty creeks is especially powerful. Beautifully written.
We have poisoned our one and only home; what shall we do when she can no longer sustain us? Excellent work!
Die I suspect.
I wouldn't worry to much about her. This race are just zits.
Where has all the water gone.
Don't think mummy's happy with the humans.
Beautifully sorrowful, Nerd. There’s such tenderness in the way you experience the natural world as a mother who has continually offered comfort while receiving harm in return. The apology on behalf of humanity gives this such an aching sense of responsibility. Powerful write, my friend! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
I think you all for taking your time for reading my poem. This one hits home where I’m from we treat nature as something that gives us food and water and a place to stay. And please don’t be afraid to give me any polishing up with my poem. Thank you so much for your kind and supportive words. I hope you all have a wonderful day.
Volcanoes and magma,
Plates and earthquakes
Tsunamis and oceans
The children of the suns
I think she'll be
Okay!
Great write, Nerd!
