“It builds character” is such a wonderful phrase,
Unless you're the receiver
And it's covered in pain.
For everything has a cause and effect,
Not all can be seen,
But always felt.
Knowledge gained through training given
Makes no winners or losers,
Just mountains and rivers.
We may have choices,
And we may have none.
Nothing lasts forever
Other than frequency and vibration.
So within my vessel,
I echo this:
We can't judge
What was passed down,
But we can take responsibility
To end needless suffering
Right now.

Nicely written this poem pleads for people to be aware and take action against needless suffering a noble quest. Nicely written
Thank you my friend this comes from many places in my mind but mostly the things we do to ourselves or think it's ok because we went through it! Emotions matter and we all deserve to be heard, and truly appreciate your precious time my friend
You are most welcome Dan
But can we stop the rot?
In my view it would take a generation or two so I guess will never really know!
Damn, Dan...that opening immediately got me. 😂 “It builds character” sounds wonderfully profound when you aren’t the poor bastard whose character is currently being built! But the destination here is serious and important: whatever reached us through the past, we still get to decide what ends with us. Excellent piece, my friend! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Yes my friend my wife said it in a playful way to our children yesterday but I didn't like it! As I say and reflected on it! I'm never ashamed to say I cried! It was something said many times when my stepdad would give me Chinese burns and horses bites! Or when I just didn't like what was going on... funny the things you'd never dream of doing was OK in the 80s but really should never of been OK! If you needed to hit to get your point across then you didn't understand your point well enough....ooo I could write about that!
Thank you deeply my friend for your kindness and energy to help me keep sharing! Much peace and respect 🙏 🫡
Needless suffering appears to be the norm now, usually caused by some plonker wanting to rule the world.
Will it ever change, probably not, despots are in abundance out there.
Yes as the song said "we didn't start the fire" and doubt we could ever put it out! Humans can be the best and worst! Really appreciate your time
My favorite line “Unless you're the receiver
And it's covered in pain.” It’s so good
Thank you my friend and have a wonderful day
This has a strong ethical center: it refuses the easy cliché that suffering automatically “builds character.” The best turn is near the end, where inherited pain becomes a responsibility rather than an excuse.
“We can't judge / What was passed down, / But we can take responsibility / To end needless suffering / Right now.”
That feels like the poem’s real thesis, and it lands because it moves from metaphysics—cause and effect, frequency, vibration—into something concrete and human: the cycle can stop with us.
Thank you for reading into my soul! All we can do is try! Truly appreciate your time and wonderful feed back. Take care
