The Brothel

Fränz Müller

Thoughts surround my mind

grabbing my attention;

they want to fuck me

but I know their allure is fleeting.

They only seem beautiful from afar

but up close and stripped bare they reveal

their ugly character

their desire to only wound me

and keep me captive

in their bed of damaging desire.

Oh, that I could leave this place,

and rid myself of these memories

and their siren song

which leads my fragile mind

towards the sharp rocks of madness!

A sad poem put in vivid imagery with powerful statements. Nicely done Franz

I'm with Demar, but I've got scruples, is the brothel high class.
      Even middle class would do.

I’m like school in the summer: no class! 😁

The fancy thoughts are ready and waiting, but they’re gonna cost you!

Never been to a Brothel. But then I'm not to keen on Broth.
        A fine Poem.

I have brothers... wonder why the spelling seems related since it definitely is NOT. Oh you rascal.

Wow, Fränz, this really hit me. The mind as a brothel of thoughts and memories offering themselves seductively while ultimately seeking to wound and imprison is dark, visceral, and painfully relatable. That desperate desire simply to escape their siren song carries some serious weight. Powerful piece, my friend! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
