My poems reached a level
My mood could not sustain,
When peace it came upon me
Like gently falling rain
And washed away your sin
So nothing does remain.
Except a soundless calling
And the memory of pain.

To forgive but not forget comes to mind with this poem. Pain may remain but anger is gone. Well written
There’s something tender and damn sad about reaching peace in the poem while your own mood can’t quite follow you there. I like how the rain washes everything clean, yet somehow leaves the memory of pain behind.
