It seemed to be
A picture framed
A snapshot caught
In minds refrain
A thought that carried
Upon a wing
A moment trapped
A wretched thing.
You know my face
Though my name has gone
From within the fog
Like a favourite song
Your outward gaze
That looks afar
To an empty room
Its door ajar.
You call me by
Another name
I just agree
There is no blame
A forgotten brother
Still by your side
Until Alzheimers
From us to hide.
