Old
Feeling older than yesterday.
Worse than ever before.
Love is 500 miles away,
And I am unable to walk.
Feet made of lead, lead me astray.
I am broken. Cut down by age.
The secret heart I have hidden deep,
Is cold as ice and does not beat.
It used to sing from the chandeliers,
Now it is silent.
It has been for years.
Never get old. Stay young.
There is nothing to gain from growing wrinkles.
Take the time to eclipse the sun.
We need a little darkness to hide our loving fun.
Used to feel young at heart.
Now I don’t feel young anymore.
With age comes wisdom. I haven’t learned any so far.
Too old to learn. Not caring for more.
Going bald.
Going blind.
Going deaf,
So why try?
No longer have the option of falling in love.
Just waiting in line to die...

Now why are you writing about me? A good write of a dark day in a season well spent going into winter. Well done
Lol. Thank you. Was having a bad day. Feeling much better today.
You are welcome and glad you are feeling better
