Give me a cigarette
Oh but I've never smoked
I think I'm looking for a way out
Since the air has me choked
Don't give me peanuts
But I can eat them just fine
I need a reason to say no
Since I never could draw the line
You're too close to me
I've not felt love for years
And I hate the way I cry
Hate when you wipe away my tears
Don't say anything
Don't speak at all
I don't know how to respond
I'm used to talking to a wall
I want help
But I won't ever ask for it
Please figure me out
Every version of me is split
I don't know who I am
I don't know what to be
I don't know how to act
I don't know when to plea
Just give me a guide
And maybe I'll be fine

What a deeply affecting piece, Allie. Beneath all the uncertainty is someone yearning to be understood without knowing how to make themselves understandable. Raw, honest, and beautifully written. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
