Violets on an old stone grave

alan b

By an iron gate

Violets

A tide of grief

Moss on an old stone grave

Vast love slipping away

She lay beside me in the dawn

Her eyes

Blue flowers

On white silk cloth

The days not full enough

Life slips by

Like a field mouse

In the grass

Violets bloom by a rusted gate

On an old stone grave

Violet petals

A beauty

That will never fade
