A sun ray
Riding a dragon
Wave
Of effort-
-less is more
Alive

Images sparkle on this sea where waves are transparent and the deep is dark. Nice write
Those sparkles on the surface of the sea!
Not all that sparkles are diamonds
Love the split-union of meaning in effort- -less is more!
Split-union? Love it!
Almost like the yeah-nah dynamic in some ways🤩
You've revised the original meaning? Back in the day it signified liquor.
Missy, I don`t understand.
Fire water was originally another word for liquor.
Ah yes. Whiskey! Thanks.
There’s a damn playful energy here, with the sun ray riding the “dragon wave” like a tiny piece of light catching something enormous. “Effort-less is more” gives the little poem its wink—it turns the image into a compact meditation on simply being alive.
Thanks, Thomas for your beautiful take on the rhyme!
What a vivid little burst, my friend. The movement feels wild, yet the central paradox brings it into a place of complete surrender. Brief, playful, and cleverly constructed. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Got inspired after watching a film/documentary on the surfer (amongst other things) Gerry Lopez, called "The YIn and Yang of Gerry Lopez." Well worth a look if you`ve the time and inclination, Tristan.
