Did he fall or was he pushed?

orchidee

Remembering KF - passed away August 2007

On a boat abroad - only age 24

But as in the title -

Did he fall or was he pushed?

It's said he was in an argument that day

But we won't know the real cause

It's a mystery

It's sad for poor KF

He would only have been aged 43 this year (2026)

I didn't know KF that well

He was a work experience person

At my place of employment

I overdid it at the funeral

Trying to befriend some relatives, but got snubbed

I shouldn't have been so 'familiar' or 'jolly'

A lovely service

But then a huge outpouring of grief

An atmosphere of blackness

One of the 'worst' I've ever experienced

Did they all really believe

What was said and sung in the Christian funeral service?

*** RIP, KF. ***

  • Comment from author about the poem: I had something daft, but it really fits in for tomorrow, the 'anniversary' date of it. here's something more distressing, dark maybe. RIP KF, passed away 25.08.2007.

A dark and sad write of an accident, suicide, murder? Well written

Thank you SB. We would like to think it was a tragic accident, but no one knows.

        You are most welcome Orchi

Thank you D. On a lighter note, what about Humpty Dumpty re: the title of this poem?! lol.

What I most admire about KF, indeed it may have been the whole point of his existence (I didn’t know him, so don’t…) was that his death bought out a seriousness in you I don’t think I’ve witnessed before. Your cover is blown, mate.

Thank you D. Yes, I was serious for, oh, 5 seconds in June, was it?! That's my serious allocation for a year. Other times I'm batty and nutty as Sir Orchi NS. lol.

You have certainly cornered the market, Orchi.😜

Ohh, back soon - to ramblings, nonsense, and all sorts of NS stuff! lol.

Orchi, this is a deeply moving remembrance. The uncertainty makes the loss even harder to carry...and the tension between the service and the devastation surrounding it lands heavily. Your honesty about your own place in that day makes this especially human. Powerful write, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Thank you T. If this makes any difference - the mourners were from a rather 'common' area of town. I'm being snobbish now. Doh!
