सपने अपने अपने

uglykavi

  • Comment from author about the poem: My Hindi poem on dreams, ground reality and the odds for success! Focused on current state of affairs in India. Apologize to non-Hindi readers. Will follow through later with a translation. thanks. Context: Sabeer Bhatia made $400 mn back in 1999 after he started his startup 1.5 yrs back. MS bought it and the product/brand hotmail still lives. Abhijeet Dipke quite literally become a most well known figure in a span of about a week due to his "Cockroach Janta Party" action(s). And actually became even more "well known" over next few days/months. Very recent.

It is not the translation that is the problem for me but my ignorance of some of the figures and the ongoing crisis in India. Nicely written it flows well and speaks in sincere terms. Well done

Thank you for your comment and reading of the poem. I completely understand. I should have added that to 'about poem'. Sabeer Bhatia made $400 mn back in 1999 after he started his startup 1.5 yrs back. MS bought it and the product/brand hotmail still lives. Abhijeet Dipke quite literally become a most well known figure in a span of about a week due to his 'Cockroach Janta Party' action(s). And actually became even more 'well known' over next few days/months. Very recent. So, hard to pin on anyone who does not know esp. the translation may not catch names correctly and associate to English names and details of them.

I thank you for your explanation that makes it all much clearer to a person like me that avoids news . It is all indicative of human greed and lust for power.
