Based on part of Isaiah Chapter 61
(forgot title and tune name of hymn).
*********
Beauty for ashes
[Oil of] Joy for mourning
Praise for a heavy heart
A new day dawning
A robe of righteousness
Given freely
Praise you the Lord
Give him all the glory!
------
Note: 'For' here, means in the sense of
'instead' or 'in exchange for'.

- Comment from author about the poem: There's a hymn of the same title, but not the one I have in mind here. Sorry - I've forgotten the hymn name and title. Not sure of the tune, so I can't sing it (hooray, you say! lol.).

A lovely write Orchi when I started on this site I thought I would never be a fan of hymns but yours have proved me wrong and it was nice to hear another one.
Thank you SB. You're a fan, now I'm not singing them! lol.
You are very welcome Orchi
Sing a new song, accompany with a new tune ππ»ποΈ
Thank you A. I will sing the dang new tune when I remember it! lol.
Good one Orchi.
Thank you Gold.
What a lovely piece, Orchi. You have taken one of Isaiahβs most comforting promises and made it sing...which is especially impressive considering you forgot the hymn title and tune! π Somewhere an organist just felt a disturbance in the Force. Not sure if a certain glugger was involved. I know...I know. WCAT! Wonderful write, my friend. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
Thank you T. Yes, Popeye distracted me, and I forgot the tune! lol.
