To hear upon
A quiet night
The sound of silence
Thoughts to bite
Tears restrained
Burning hot
The solitude
Hope to stop.
The empty rooms
Dont go away
That certain buzz
Upon the air
The curtains closed
The bare bulb bright
No time for sleep
Upon this night.
Within these walls
Laughed and cried
Cursed and prayed
Truth and lies
Love and hate
Days, month and years
Moments breath
Love was shared.

Norman, this is deeply moving. The loneliness feels immediate, but so does the history held inside those rooms...all the love, grief, prayer, anger, and life that once filled them. Beautiful piece, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
