Beautiful to her.

Aa Harvey

Beautiful to her.

These little blues wires from my fingers to my toes,

Sending bat signals from my skull to my bones,

And every firing neuron is a nuclear explosion.

My hands are numb,

My mouth is dumb,

I’m seizing up with corrosion.

There’s an ocean of thoughts,

I’ve got to transfer to my books,

Because with a little luck you could find them,

And maybe take a look.

If you pay me no mind, then nevermind.

I’ll still be in bloom when all turns to grey,

And as I fade away, I’ll leave a legacy of words,

Because without these perplexing ears,

I would never have been heard.

I think you may see clearly,

If I lift up my shirt.

I ain’t as young as I once was...

But I’m still beautiful for her.

This to me is a message of being taken for what lies inside not one's sexual appeal. Nicely written

Thank you. When you're getting older, these thoughts take on more context. If you have one person in the world that is in love with you, then it can't be that bad.

      Peace, Love and Empathy.
