My poetry often
Has blood on hands
Battered knuckles
Shifting sands
Criticised for saying
How it really is
Reality gripped
A poisoned tip.
Speaking often
Of the lonely
Those downtrodden
Forgotten only
Once the headlines
Fade from view
A discarded newspaper
Tv screen to view.
Lifes power shattered
Dreams and hopes
A battered boxer
On the ropes
Of lifes injustice
Punches, kicks
There are some things
Which cant be fixed.

This write presents the adversities of life and the difficulty overcoming them emotionally. Just keep on moving. Well said
thanks and appreciation, the poem has stood idle thought I would risk it
No poem should stand idle I say let it breath and others judge. You are most welcome my friend
And decades closer to universality. Keep going strong, brother. 🙏🏻🤩👍🏻🕊️
Thats my intention my friend, thanks and appreciation
Good write N. If a bus comes along, it will be like blood from a stone! lol.
or stone from blood lol
What a strong piece, Norman. You keep the focus on those who get battered by life and then forgotten once everyone else moves on...and the fact that you wrote this decades ago only makes it more sobering. Powerful work, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
