A dragonfly, came to say hi flying through my door
Buzzing around just off the ground, seemed he wanted something more
Hovering about my head, appeared he said, have you got a fly you could spare
I've been on the road he said with a cough, let me take a load off, as he settled on my chair
Saw his eye was watching a fly buzzing about the room
Without a word, faster than any bird after it he did zoom
Floating mid air in my face did stare please do have a care
I came to give you news, mosquitos will you abuse if you go out there
Thanked him for his flight and wished him good night, he showed me his wings
Now every day he buzzes around my way, to eat bugs from my sweepings
