Spare a thought
For the 60s wild childs
The flower children
The psychonauts
Save a safety pin
For the 70s punks
Piercings, pink hair
Abrasive looks
Reserve some rope
For the 80s style
Hang The DJ, Thatcherism
Synth pop bile
Blow a whistle
For the 90s ravers
The acid house posses
The true believers
Give a subtle nod
To the naughties kids
Before camera phones recorded
Everything we did
Raise a toast
To the last of the binge drinkers
The over 40s
The overthinkers
Every generation
Has pioneers
Every generation
Has casualties
Every generation
Ruptures then climbs
Every generation
Unfurls its petals...
Blossoms for a while
Wilts...
Then declines

A eulogy to the passing of ages and of generations. Nicely done
