What is left

sorenbarrett

Fame a flashing flame
Some ride a flaring beam, others a dying spark of a dream
Embers that glow, cinders the wind does blow
Time's smoke, fire's obscuring cloak
Flame's glory it hides as heat subsides
A fire of brief burning desire
In a flash, all ends in cold ash
To be spread by the breeze to younger wannabes
