How strange, the west wind tells me I've changed
A falling rain calls me back to my domain
Snow is settling in, asking where I've been
I've been here all the while, I say with a fading smile
Will you be staying for dinner
Only if you're having roasted filet of sinner
What would you drink, a poet's ink
Blood of the dead goes to my head, better make it red
Will you spend the night
If over your bed we don't fight
Your room is over there
I'll sleep with you if you don't care
While I undress please don't stare
Why you wear no underwear
I thought you didn't care
Now bare, the bed to share

lovely flow to this my friend, much enjoyed
Thank you Norman it is most appreciated
most welcome
There’s a mischievous gothic energy here, shifting from the melancholy of changing seasons into surreal dinner-table banter, dark humor, and sexual flirtation without ever taking itself too seriously. The “roasted filet of sinner” and “poet’s ink / Blood of the dead” lines give it a wonderfully macabre personality, while the final exchange turns the whole thing into a cheeky, deliberately awkward seduction.
Thanks Thomas for your read and comment that is most valued. Yes my mind was drifting here and sex is often dark and sometimes awkward
Good write SB.

This is like one of those French Art House Films.
But in Poetry form. Nice one.
Thank you Kevin I am not French but one can always steal. I appreciate the read and comment my friend
Merci beaucoup. 👍
You got me with this one, Soren! What begins in melancholy quickly becomes a delightfully twisted conversation filled with appetite, death, desire, and total absurdity. Dark, playful, and thoroughly entertaining, my friend! 🤣🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛

Thanks so much for the read and comment Jon it is most appreciated
My pleasure!
A wonderfully strange and atmospheric piece. The melancholic opening gradually gives way to dark humor, gothic imagery, and playful intimacy. The contrast makes it both haunting and unexpectedly amusing.
Thanks Soheil I always appreciate your takes on my poems and this is no exception.
Thank you, my friend. That truly means a lot to me. I always enjoy reading your poems and exploring the thoughts and emotions behind them. It is a pleasure to share these conversations with you.
