A PRICKLY PATH

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

The angry growl
September sky
Breaks to rain
The seagulls fly
Inland safety
Waves distant crash
Against the concrete
Lightnings flash.

The heavy eyes
Forgotten sleep
July a memory
Still to keep
Locked behind
A drunken brawl
The blood stains still
Upon the wall.

Betrayal bows
Nods his head
Her perfume still
Upon the bed
A prickly path
To all who walk
Loves red rose
With thorns that talk.
