Here is both a howl and a hymn;
a clever lamentation soaked
in satire and righteous indignation.
It treads the comic edge of poetic injustice,
railing against the vultures in wolf’s garb
who see art not as soul-work,
but as leverage, a means to pecuniary ends.
With its brisk rhyme and biting wit,
it reminds us that the poet’s struggle
is not just existential, but economic,
a fight to own what is made of breath and ink.
Behind the laughter and the lyrical punchlines
lies a sharper truth: to write is to survive
the very world that tries to commodify
the voice that dares to speak.
It stings and sings at once
and no one could accuse this poet of going quietly.
Thanks for speaking out against the outrage
of scammers and spammers and the like.

A fine Poem . For the Pen is Mightier etc.
Good one.
Indeed, and hence the call to wield and not yield. Thanks, dear friend šš»šļø
My Pleasure.
I have had lines stolen but never a penny was made that I am aware of. Possibly due to stealing from a garbage heap rends little in return. Never the less it does at times irk while at others one has to feel flattered that someone would steal. It implies value and strokes the ego. This poem points the ink stained finger at those that would profit off of another's work. The music industry is famous for this or rather I should say infamous. It is the flaw in capitalism hit with the hammer and wedge of greed. I love the line "a fight to own what is made of breath and ink". Nicely done my friend.
Many thanks dear Soren. šš»šļø
Most welcome my friend

Well said
A fine write, with a Saturday morning coffee.
Yes, and that plague-y thing - plagiarising - throws poets into a rage! One person, not on MPS, actually posted a photo of himself while pinching another person's words. Responses from poets included F, F, F, and F! (ooh!).
Yep...and every poet who has gotten one of those bullshit offers knows exactly why this needed saying. Iām with you, Arqios. š¹š¤ššÆļøš¦āā¬
And another nuanced wave has risen with the tide! We gotta be on our toes.
Very good Words Rik and so true,
Andy
