In my brand new armour
I am shining bright,
I am up for any deed
And looking for a fight.
But I can find no dragon
Look as long I may,
What's the use of armour
When there's nothing left to slay?

Love this one and take it as metaphoric as well. We all wear armor against the forces outside of us and at times there is no enemy and no need for the armor. Well done my friend
You got me again! Thanks
My pleasure my friend
Well, Jabberwocky...polish the armour and enjoy the peace. Trouble always finds its way back. Well don, ym friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
I'll just chill with my coffee. Those dragons know where to find me. I'm a dragon magnet.
Thanks
Great versification, but deluded; there's always something to slay, and if with or without steel the right target is located, then perhaps that is progress.
True enough. I think today's dragon is going to be boredom. Think that's progress though. Ah, the luxury of boredom!
Fine words Gary but if you go to the edge of the flat earth "there be dragons!" LOL
Andy
I'll give that a try, I'm flat earth kinda guy.
Hopefully they have cafes there.
