Said Juliet One Day

Kevin Hulme

Said Juliet One Day to her Sister Clair:

'Why do you waste time and jump in the Air'?

'It's Logic itself that when we Jump,

We come back down to Earth with a Shuddering Bump'.

'So leave out the Leaping and stay where you are,

As Gravity itself won't make you go far'.

'For whatever goes up, must surely come down,

A most obvious truth that is essentially sound'.

'You're perfectly correct in the things that you say',

Said big Sister Claire who viewed it that way.

'Next time that I jump, I will stand perfectly still,

And never neglect that Newton did Will'.

'No movement at all when in future I leap,

And conserve all my Energy that's vital to keep'.

So Remember dear Juliet and her Council to Claire,

Don't waste precious time and Spring in the Air,

As It really boils down to the obvious fact:

Of Law Number 3 when engaged in the Act.

So Cancel all leaping and Hopping around:

For it's simply quite plain- we belong on the ground.

There is no such thing as air travel, the airplane was never invented and no one has been to the moon. Oh by the way the earth is flat. A fun read my friend with good rhyme.

Flat! You could have broken that a little less bluntly.
      Thank you for Reading 👍

Most welcome Kevin no intent to offend my friend my sense of humor steps on many toes I'm afraid. Just meant to say there are many that don't trust anything they hear except what they want to hear.

Believe me : there was no offence taken.
Trying to put Humour across in a text can be difficult. 👍

'Tis a terrible worry, with all the trouble in the world today it would only take a bunch of insurgents to all jump together. Could impart a negative tilt to the world and christmas could be cold for me and hot for you. Wot then?
A good fun write I could understand fully, as is evidenced by the coherence of my response...

The poem was influenced by my Comic Hero: Spike Milligan. ( He's fallen in the Water).
Hot for me. Cold for you? We'll all meet at the Equator where it'll be juuust Right.
            Thank you for Reading.

Oh, this is fun, Kevin. By the end I was imagining an entire anti-leaping society forming around Newton. 😂 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
