When CERN Opened the Mouth of God

Dionysian66

Someone

smuggled LSD

and

absinthe into

the collider

By dawn

the equations

were reciting poetry

in a language

only broken mirrors

still remembered

The physicists

awoke

with galaxies

growing behind

their eyelids

One

quietly resigned

after discovering

his reflection

had been

promoted

to supervisor

of causality

The detectors

stopped

measuring

particles

They began

recording

regrets

Every collision

released

another version

of existence

Still searching

for the

correct timeline

Neutrinos

passed through

caverns

of the mind

Dragging

entire civilizations

behind them

like forgotten kites

Time

removed

its own memories

to prove

they had never

been necessary

Yesterday

was found drunk

inside

tomorrow’s coat

Claiming

to remember

the funeral

of the future

Entanglement

spread like

black ivy

across existence

We could hear

heartbeats

echoing

inside stars

Which had

not yet decided

whether to burn

or become

memory

Rimbaud

was selling

boxes of

invisible colors

to blind angels

They insisted

that blue

smelled like

revolution

Jim Morrison

stole the

event horizon

and wore it

like leather pants

Then laughed

until the

Milky Way

forgot

which direction

led outward

The vacuum

began hallucinating

gods and demons

by the thousands

Most lasted

less than

a nanosecond

One survived

long enough

to ask

who was

dreaming whom

The answer

exploded into

phosphorescent

hummingbirds

made entirely of

unanswered equations

We watched

a paradox

devour its own

conclusion

Then calmly

lay an egg

from which

hatched

another observer

Who immediately

invented mortality

as a practical joke

against infinity

By then

reality

was crawling

with linguistics

it did not

possess

Whispering

There has

never been

a universe

Only

false witnesses

entangled

in the same

beautiful

hallucination
