Love is Quiet

Quinny93

LOVE IS QUIET.

Love is quiet,

More than the deepest of dream,

Where word – is not among the moment or the murmur,

In meaning – meaning forgot – meaning not – meaning new,

Meaning nothing, sleeping.

Love is silent,

There’s just a whisper in the air,

The space – alive with beating heart

     and soul, the power

Of music – music forgot – music old – music new,

Love is breathing – somewhere.

Love is ours,

In these old tales we still declare

That mute fanfare of humour, and rumour,

In knowing – knowing not – knowing forgot - knowing never

Knowing just enough, to care.

Love is here,

And surely we must find a way to move,

And show the wonder and the story of,

Minds doing – minds imagine – minds seeing -

Minds audacity enough – to sing - of love.

Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a haunting poignancy. I like it. Thank you for sharing.

In this poem of love it is defined in a most poetic manner. The use of structure in threes is somewhat magical and falls upon the ear in a most gratifying manner. By defining it in where it can not be found but as the absence of something makes it feel ethereal. Then it is elevated further by asking the reader to envision its elevation from silence to song. Nicely done
