Tune: Golden Sheaves
('To thee, O Lord, our hearts we raise')
Amos 9 v.11-15
***********
A day will come, the Lord will raise
[King] David's tabernacle, praise
To the Lord, for He will repair
The breaches that are made there
Will restore David's dynasty
People of Israel they be
The Lord will build it as in days
Of old, they shall know His ways
The shall possess the Gentiles land
It be arranged by God's hand
Land of the heathen, they which are
Called by the Lord's name, near, far
Behold, the days come, says the Lord
It according to His word
Plowman shall reaper overtake
They prosperity shall make
Treader of grapes overtake they
Who sow the seeds in the way
And the mountains shall drop sweet wine
An idyll of peace divine
And all the hills shall melt, shall floe
And the Lord's goodness shall know
The Lord will bring again, restore
His people in land once more
They shall build the waste cities, they
Shall inhabit them that day
Shall plant vineyards and drink the wine
In pleasant land, it blessed fine
They shall make gardens, the fruit eat
And have supplies of corn, wheat
The Lord God will plant them in land
Settle them sure by His hand

Another great hymn Orchi that promises the fat of the land to those that follow. Well done my friend.
Thank you SB. KP said to me \'When you said you would give me the fat of the land, I didn\'t think you meant literal fat for my dinners!\' lol.
Dunno why she complains - I vary her diet - sewage, fat,........ heehee.
Most welcome my friend watch the grease it loosens the jaw.
Good write O
Thank you A.
Good one Orchi.
Thank you Gold.
Orchi, all that wine has me concerned about the Gluggerverse. One heavenly vineyard and Popeyeus will be glugging his way through eternity. Olive had better hide the keys! 🤣🌹🖤🙏🕯️
Thank you T. lol.
