I wake up in the morning
Full of the joys of spring
Looking forward to the day
And all the joy it may bring
Getting dressed should be so easy
But not when old age comes through the door
Trying to put your clothes on getting up
Becomes an altogether a different chore
I always seem to get both legs in one leg of my trousers
And end up on the floor
Or if I am putting my shirt on
I always have difficulty find the other arm
It just seems to disappear
Fortunately reappears as if by some lucky charm
Then I have to find my slippers
Which seem to have a mind all of their own left on the floor
They never seem to be where I thought I had left them
When I went to bed the night before
I stagger to the bathroom to rinse my mouth out and have a wash
And at least I still have my own teeth, they don’t come out at night
So I am not so bad as I first thought
Unlike my hair which is falling out, not a pretty sight
The sight that greets me in the mirror
I think is that person really me
That truly does not look like the man I once was
Oh Dear it’s really so sad to see
But hey, at least I am still here
Causing a fuss, alive and raising hell
I can still enjoy what’s left of my life
As long as I can stay fit and Healthy as Well

Owen I feel the cold grip of age myself with muscles sore and bones arthritic. As for hair it had thinned long ago. Wrinkles and loose skin as well as less energy are the bane of years. I could equate with your write my friend and would bet that I have a few years on you.
