Intellect proclaimed
"I've gained
Ascendancy over Intuition
and Imagination!"
Then proceeded to squeeeeze
Them in a death grip
Of limitations
Craving and aversion
Took control of the
Muscular operating system
Terrorizing it daily
With centripetal tensions
Wringing the life out of all the
Bodily systems
"Central? Autonomic?
We got this!
Respiratory? Excretory?
Easy!
Lymphatic? Digestive? It's
A piece of cake!
Cardiovascular? Endocrine?
We're doing just fine!
Ahhh... we almost forgot
The sexual-reproductive
Oh My Gee
We'll have them literally
Squeezing the life out of themselves
And enjoying it!"
They exclaimed gleefully

Ah yes a physiological extravaganza don't forget the somatic nervous system with it manipulated by the others we manipulate them as well. Good one Mutley
Thanks, Soren. Isn't it a paradox- how many of us are totally identified with the body, yet have almost zero awareness of it?
You are most welcome. Yes we give little thought to the most vital processes of our breathing, heart and whole system. We tend to think about what we have the most control over the somatic system and even that not too much. Another sign of how we take things for granted.
💯
Thank you, Mutley. Your comment reminded me that the old pines and the taskmasters seem to inhabit similar territories. One reduces the world to mechanism; the other squeezes life into utility. Yet the wooden creak persists, asking to be heard as more than either. Imagination still rules much of our commerce with reality. Thus a form of communion. 🙏🏻🕊️
Nothing like a creak to set the imagination going! The sound. Who or what made the sound. And on....Thanks for dropping by.
Most welcome M 🙏🏻🕊️
Wow, Mutley! This is quite the wild ride! LOL! I've always found it fascinating how our own minds can become our worst enemies. And sometimes mine seems particularly determined to prove the point! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
You`re not alone in that respect, Tristan! Thanks for dropping by.
