Tune: St Hugh [Series: Hymns to Saints Tunes 7]
('Lord, teach us how to pray aright')
John 5 v.4 - 9
*************
A man there at Bethsaida's pool
Thirty eight years in all
He had been infirm, Jesus He
Knew of his state. so be
He said to him, Will you be made
Whole? Do not be afraid
The lame man answered Him, Sir, I
Have no one by and by
No one when angel stirs the pool
To put me in, I call
To them, but they do not help me
Someone else it sure be
Jesus said to him, Rise, take up
Your bed and walk, no fake
Straightway he was made whole. took up
His bed, walked, pool forsook
