Plea from Today's Man

Michael A. McGuire

So sorry I'm not attractive
enough for you or make the amount
of money you would like me to.

I'm just a simple man attempting
to navigate a complex World.

I go to work every day and hope
to earn enough for the mountain
of bills I have to pay.

Don't have time for any more games.
Done played and got lost in many
a woman's maze.

Can no longer afford to waste what's
left of my Life.  If you mess with
me now, you'll meet the sharp end of
my steely.......wit.

Guys just want to have fun too, you
know.   Just don't have disposable
Benjamins to blow.

So let's make a deal to be "real"
and let Nature take its course...
but first let's get you down off that
mighty high horse.

I hear the theme of men want beauty women want money sounds like an illegal deal in most states. A good read that puts it out there where pleasure vs security becomes the old game of romance. Romeo and Juliet be damned. There is a powerful punch here in the issue of being buried under bills. Nicely written in good rhyme and well worded
