popped out of a masculine vagina
into a world that looks up to manhood
and wants men made of masculinity,
meaning that all boys get masculated
and reject all that is emasculated.
our boys need more and more testosterone.
should test their testes for testosterone
or else they’ll wind up with a vagina,
which will make them all emasculated
and then we will lose what’s known as manhood.
that is why we must be masculated
and show we love our masculinity.
why wouldn’t we love masculinity?
if you don’t, you may need testosterone
so that you, too, can be masculated,
and not act like you’re such a vagina!
that will free you up to love your manhood;
keep you from being emasculated.
hollywood wants us emasculated—
yes!—Xena stole our masculinity,
robbed Kevin Sorbo of his manhood,
which says not much of his testosterone;
in fact, we now think he’s a vagina
who clearly failed to be masculated.
truth! the whole world should be masculated!
rid us now of all emasculated
media making us a vagina
vacuuming up all masculinity
and destroying all men’s testosterone—
bringing into question their true manhood
don’t you ever relinquish your manhood
or we’ll make sure you are masculated;
we’ll inject you up with testosterone,
instill fear you’ll be emasculated
so you will worship masculinity
as you screw yet another vagina
worship your manhood emasculated!
fuck masculated masculinity—
fuck testosterone!—lick my vagina!

- Comment from author about the poem: Part of the Wait. What?!? collection. This Xena Sestina says it all, no? đ And no...this is not really about Xena at all. In fact, Xena says, âGrow a set, boys.â

A wonderful write in a world that thinks that equality of rights equals equality of the physical and emotional. Nature made male and female different for a reason and who are we to change that. Viva la differance. Well penned my friend
Thereâs a ferocious satirical engine here, using repetition, deliberately mangled logic, and the obsessive return to âmasculinityâ to expose how fragile manhood becomes when it has to be constantly policed through fear, insults, and demands for conformity. âweâll inject you up with testosterone, / instill fear youâll be emasculatedâ is the keeper for me, because it reveals the coercion beneath all the bluster: the supposed defense of masculinity becomes a threat to men themselves, forcing them to perform the very identity theyâre told should come naturally.
