Going to the Shops on Halloween Evening

I hoped to see a werewolf
But they weren't anywhere !
Just a lot of zombies,
And vampires to scare.
There were a couple mummies
(Some effort, to be fair)
But far too many cowboys
Who shouldn't have been there.
Halloweens for scaring
Not for the Wild West!
Though maybe I'm old fashioned
And younger folk know best.
