THE VELVET DARKNESS

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

You gave solace
As the windchimes sang
Dream catcher ready
The day was long
My dread of time
Now weary weak
Beside you
To search for sleep.

The wooden shutters
On windows closed
Suffering eyes
From the soul
A cottage dreams
Into the night
Stars to shine
Gone days light.

Late hours
Neither friend or foe
But velvet darkness
Its voice to throw
From outside
To my inner mind
Entering my dreams
We live a lie.
