Rain.

iElmo

Rain, rain, don't go away.
Rain, rain, you made my day.

Today she came over, we messed around.
When thunder hit, he didn't dare make a sound.

You looked in my eyes, I looked in yours.
We kissed so softly, it opened many doors.

You know I was hurt, and yet you still try.
Helping me out, never telling me lies.

Never do you start drama, and I know you're true.
Better than the rest, now I know I want you.

Since my last ex, I didn't feel hurt or a thing.
When you left town, it hurt more than a sting.

Once you returned, I realized you were the one.

Even when I was dating the last one, I got jealous of your boyfriend.
I felt I didn't have the right since we were just best friends.

Now we're both single, drama free and together.
I can't wait to see where this goes, beautiful Heather.

It is a delightful love poem....I quite enjoyed how you drew the picture of falling in love...the only thing that confused me was how a girl could write from the guy's perspective.....the only question after that is whether we girls can effectively portray guy's mindsets and feelings, being only girls ourselves...I confess from Sir Walter Scott's heroines and Jane Austen's heros, I think we really cannot. But it remains a fascinating romantic poem, which the image of rain with it seemingly makes only too perfect.
