(Sonnet Attempt # III)
III
Come see the world which in this world I see.
Lose here the pavement cracked and weedy grown,
The fumes, the trash, foul words, machinery....
All that surrounds by men spoiled I do know.
As yet I do not see, but see beyond...
To trees with leaves and gaps romantic'ly;
Now in the distance scenes of which I'm fond:
A tropical island shot, at sunset see,
A busy hamlet of yore in the clouds,
A bench for friends to talk and dream and hope,
And Wordsworth's England somehow seems to surround,
When mist enshrouds, then I'm with Sherlock Holmes, .....
The birds and crickets sweetly singing hear,
Blue sky so deep I see beyond the atmosphere.

- Comment from author about the poem: So, do the sonnet attempts improve over time? I'd like to think so.....this is what happens when you sit down uninspired with the intent of composing....I so wanted to picture with words the world I love which is in the midst of a world so commonplace. I only half-succeeded, if at all.

You may well ask a difficult question but the answer is elementary .. Yes of course they do .. keep smiling and do yourself a favour .. quit doubting thy self ..
Thank you very much, Sir.
